Ken Griffey Jr. Hits 600th Home Run; Ball Still in Play

Saturday, June 14, 2008

Ken Griffey Jr., outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds, has joined the ranks of the "600 HR club" when he homered off of Florida left-handed pitcher Mark Hendrickson. Griffey brought in Jerry Hairston, who was on third. There was one out.

Justin Kimball, 25, of Miami, supposedly caught the ball, put it in a wool cap, and then had the cap stolen from his hands. Police have found the man with the ball, and will examine video to see to whom it actually belongs.
