Texas: An investigation is underway into an incident in which cheerleaders from Chapin High School allegedly attempted to give the rival cheerleading team from Andress High School poisoned cookies. Teams often exchange gifts/pranks before a game.
The cookies, which were confiscated before they could be consumed, reportedly contained laxatives, bleach, and rat poison. The school has promised that appropriate punishments will be handed out. No report has been made to the police at this time.
The mother of one of the members of the Andress team has called for criminal charges, saying, "we felt like they weren't out just to play a prank. With all the stuff they put in there, it is like they were trying to kill them."
