The Great Britain ice hockey team has finished their qualifying round for the Winter Olympics on a high, thrashing Romania 11-1. They went into the match with nothing to lose, already coming third and therefore out of the Winter games.

Coach Paul Thompson said: "I'm a realist and know it wasn't much of a challenge for us today but the important thing was that we went out there with the right attitude. It's good to finish with a win in the tournament."

Poland and Japan finished first and second for the group, and go on to the next round of qualifying.
